Celebration Volunteers Needed!

August 27, 2015

celebration-12

Hi Parents,

As many of you know, Celebration is our biggest fundraiser for BOTH the Church and the School. We want to make sure this year is a huge success and that we meet our financial goals. This year’s celebration will be Saturday, January 23rd from 5:00 pm – 1:00 am in the school gym. We will have lots of fun!  The evening will include two auctions (silent and live), cocktails, a buffet dinner and dancing.

We are need of volunteers to help organize this gala. We have had a great response from some families already, but we need support from the entire Holy Cross community. There are a few ways that you can participate. You can dontate items (either as a family or as a group) for our silent and live auctions or get your employer to donate/sponsor the night. More details will be sent out about donating in the future. Right now, however, we are in need of volunteers! We have a lot of positions still available that we need help with. If you can sacrifice your time to help us with this, it would be much appreciated!

Prayer Service on Friday

February 3, 2015

Good Evening,

As you are aware, two of our Holy Cross staff members are facing tough medical issues.  Allen Troyer has been battling cancer, and will be having surgery on Friday to remove his esophagus and do some reconstructive work.  Nancy Fox has been suffering from a chronic medical condition, and has been off work for several weeks.
We are going to have a prayer service on Friday morning at 8:15 AM in the gym for Allen and Nancy.  Students can wear their Team Troyer t-shirts or any spirit shirt to school on Friday in support of both staff members.
We would love to have your join us for this prayer service.  If you are unable to attend, please take a few minutes on Friday to pray for Allen and the medical team, and for Nancy’s recovery.
Allen and Nancy have both expressed their gratitude for your continued prayers and support.
God bless,
Allison

Holy Cross Students Will Be Leading Mass This Sunday

November 19, 2014
Students from various grades are leading the parish at Mass this Sunday, November 23rd at 11:00 AM.  All students who wear their uniform to Mass will receive an out of uniform pass!

Please support the school by attending Mass at 11:00 on Sunday.

During the offertory at Mass on Sunday, several students will present the churches from their classrooms to the parish by placing them on the altar steps.  I encourage you to donate your loose change to the classroom churches.  All money collected will be used to purchase the Child Jesus statue.  We will continue collecting for several months, but wanted the children to share their participation in the project by carrying the churches at Mass.
Our junior high choir will also be singing at this Mass.
