Holy Cross Golf Tournament

Golf10_1207Most of you have participated in the Holy Cross Parish / Jack Weitkamp Memorial Golf Tourney in the past, so we ask for your help again this year. The tournament will be held on Friday, September 11th, 12:30pm shotgun start, so get your old foursome together or create a new foursome and come join us for a great day of golf and renewing old friendships while supporting Holy Cross.

We ask you to encourage any school or church Alumni you may know to come join us for this fun filled day. Please take a quick moment to forward this email to any former Holy Cross students, parents, staff, teachers and any others that you think would enjoy a day to renew old friendships and or network with Holy Cross Alumni.

The day includes:
*A round of Golf (12:30pm shot gun start) in a 4 person scramble format (perfect for the less then seasoned Golfer), includes drink tickets and flight prizes.
* Dinner served in the Deer Creek facility after golf is complete
* Raffle prizes
* After golf and dinner, “a post golf get-together” (stay tuned for details 🙂

This is going to be a fun day.  Please remember, you joining us is a great way to renew old friendships and help support Holy Cross. If you need help filling a foursome, please contact Allison Carney, acarney@holycrosscatholicschool.com, and she can help.

Celebration Volunteers Needed!

August 27, 2015

celebration-12

Hi Parents,

As many of you know, Celebration is our biggest fundraiser for BOTH the Church and the School. We want to make sure this year is a huge success and that we meet our financial goals. This year’s celebration will be Saturday, January 23rd from 5:00 pm – 1:00 am in the school gym. We will have lots of fun!  The evening will include two auctions (silent and live), cocktails, a buffet dinner and dancing.

We are need of volunteers to help organize this gala. We have had a great response from some families already, but we need support from the entire Holy Cross community. There are a few ways that you can participate. You can dontate items (either as a family or as a group) for our silent and live auctions or get your employer to donate/sponsor the night. More details will be sent out about donating in the future. Right now, however, we are in need of volunteers! We have a lot of positions still available that we need help with. If you can sacrifice your time to help us with this, it would be much appreciated!

Pick Up and Drop Off At Holy Cross

August 20, 2015

Please use the car line when picking up your children!

PUDROP OFFIt was a great day first day of school!  I hope you and your children enjoyed meeting their teachers and seeing friends again!

Using the car line is safe and efficient.  We are able to dismiss 281 students in less than 15 minutes.  The car line was established with input from the Overland Park Police Department and has worked well.

Please put a sign in your car window with your child’s name.  This helps expedite the process.

If you have any questions about pick up or drop off procedures, please contact the school office.

Thank you for your cooperation.
