Wednesday Wanderings…

December 5, 2012

A little of this and that from Holy Cross –

  • Celebration volunteers are working hard to organize the annual dinner/auction. The Early Bird deadline for registration is quickly approaching. Have your form and check in the mail and postmarked by Dec. 14 to reserve your table at the Early Bird rate!  Donations for the live and silent auctions are being accepted at the church and school offices. To help your student’s classroom room win a special class prize, get your donation in by Dec. 19.
  • Our Best Choice UPCs get handed in at the end of December. So, if you’ve been collecting them at home, now is the time to send them in. Thanks for your help!
  • We’re doing a great job with our Box Tops and Labels collections, as well. Don’t forget to ask your holiday guests or hosts to clip them for Holy Cross. And, watch those cans and boxes as you do your holiday baking!
  • The school received a check for $16.89 from Goodsearch recently. Goodsearch is an online search tool. You can raise 1 cent for Holy Cross for every Internet search you do. Just sign up at Goodsearch.com and designate Holy Cross Catholic School in Overland Park as your choice for donations. Our $16.89 came from just 5 people who are signed up – imagine if all our school families did searches with Goodsearch instead of Google or Yahoo. Those pennies would add up quickly! Check it out and see how easy it is to sign up and use.
  • Donations for our Christmas families (Catholic Charities and Migrant Services) are due this week. They will be delivered on Friday morning.
