Things Will Go BOOM!

November 1, 2012

Shine the light on Holy Cross SCIENCE! Come Friday, November 2 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. to learn about our K - 8th grade science programs at Holy Cross School. Meet us in Pflumm Hall with a potluck dish for all. Paperware, lemonade and tea will be provided. After dinner we’ll test your family’s knowledge with a trivia game with questions from our K-8 science curriculum. Are you smarter than a Holy Cross fifth grader? Then we’ll stamp our passports as we travel through the school with three stops to take a look at some of the imaginative and educational ways our Holy Cross teachers are introducing students to the wonders of SCIENCE! Rumor has it that Mrs. G's 4th graders' rats will navigate a Halloween haunted maze, Mrs. Patterson will make things go 'BOOM!' as she explains endo- and exo- thermic reactions, and Mrs. O'Brien will introduce us to some unique and original desert animals created by her 3rd grade class, explain her chick embryology unit and show how her students make bread in their wheat science unit. DON’T MISS THE FUN!!
