At AMF, kids 15 and under can bowl free all summer.  Simply register and you’ll get a weekly voucher for two free games per child per day through Sept. 3. Shoe rental is not included.

Cinemark 20 Summer Movie Clubhouse

10 Shows for $5 if purchased in advance, or $1 per Show if purchased in advance at the box office.

Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead

Hours: Daily 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Tues & Thurs till 8 p.m.)
Cost: Mon – Thu FREE, Fri-Sun $2 per person (some activities have a fee)
Designed to depict the turn of the century family farm, the Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead has approx. 200 animals and birds of prey, vegetable and flower gardens, a one-room country schoolhouse, an old-time fishing pond, pony rides and more.

Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice
Crown Center Shops, 816-274-8444
Mon – Wed & Sat 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Thu & Fri 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.; Sun Noon – 5 p.m.
Free Admission.  Crown Center Shops Level 1 Showplace.
Created by Minnesota Children’s Museum, this interactive traveling exhibit transports visitors back in time.

Free Summer Movies

Free select 10 a.m. showings every Tue & Wed: June 5 – July 25.
Doors open at 9 a.m. and seating is limited to auditorium capacity.

Kaleidoscope
2500 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 816-274-8300
Free tickets are available at 9:30 a.m. daily in the Kaleidoscope lobby at Crown Center.  Kaleidoscope offers family fun through art. There are family art sessions for children of all ages and their adults.

Kidscape Exhibit
Johnson County Museum, 6305 Lackman Rd, Shawnee
Tue – Sat 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Free hands-on exhibit for kids ages 3 – 9.  All activities focus on the importance of community and how we can make a positive impact.

Kansas City Northern Railroad
in Frank Vaydik Line Creek Park, NW 60th St & Waukomis Dr, KCMO
Open May – September, Sat 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sun & holidays 12:01 – 6 p.m.
Fare is 50 cents per ride, all ages. Trains depart from the depot approximately every seven minutes, weather permitting.

Scavenger Saturdays for Families
Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, 4420 Warwick Blvd, KCMO
Third Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Cost is free, but registration is required.

Leawood Kids Summer Programs
Ironwoods Amphitheater, Ironwoods Park, 147th & Mission Rd, Leawood
Tuesdays @ 9:30 a.m.
Cost is Free.

Mahaffie Family Fun Nights
1200 Kansas City Rd, Olathe
Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop and Farm is open 5 – 8 p.m. Thursday nights in June and July – with free admission. A fee will apply to some activities.
Enjoy a variety of historic-themed activities each week.

NOTE: Letting the kids play in the fountains at Crown Center Square is no longer a summer fun option. Because of safety concerns with the higher traffic of visitors to Crown Center — with the addition of the aquarium and Legoland, etc. — people are no longer allowed in the fountains.
