Holy Crossfrom Holy Cross junior high teacher, Mrs. Patterson –

Thirty-six eighth graders will gather one last time this morning with their classmates, teachers, and school family at an All School Mass to celebrate their last nine years at Holy Cross Catholic School. Later this evening they will receive their diplomas from Dr. Beverlin and Father Mike Stubbs. Many of the graduates will be recognized for awards and scholarships earned.

The Class of 2012 is blessed with many gifts and talents that they have shared with Holy Cross the last nine years. Working at Saint Benedict’s Child Center, serving food at Saint Mary’s, gathering gifts for Christmas families, and filling food boxes at Harvesters are just a few examples of how they have reached out to the community. The Class of 2012 has chosen as their Class Gift a beautiful front entry door mat personalized with the school logo along with a contribution to the Guardian Angels Fund, which helps families in need of tuition assistance.

As they leave the halls of Holy Cross, they will take the foundation of their Catholic faith with them as look forward to attending high school at Bishop Miege, Saint Thomas Aquinas, Saint James Academy, Rockhurst, Shawnee Mission East, Shawnee Mission South and Blue Valley North.

Congratulations Class of 2012! God’s Blessing on your future endeavors!
