¡We Read Books!

It was a tight battle, Holy Cross vs. Holy Cross in the second round of the archdiocese Battle of the Books championship on Tuesday. And Holy Cross won!


The Holy Cross ¡We Read Books! team went on to win the final round of the championship tournament against a team from Nativity.

Maggie Herr, Samantha Brown-Benedict, Carey Lawrence, Devin Palmer, Claire Deschamp and Lucy Steyer represented Holy Cross as the winning team at the Battle of the Books competition.

The top two teams from each of the schools participating in the Battle of the Books competition represented their schools at the archdiocese championship – Holy Rosary-Wea, St. Ann’s, Nativity and Holy Cross.  Teams are made up of 4 to 6 students. The Battle of the Books teams are given a list of 30 books to read, and are quizzed on details from the books at the competitions.

¡Nosotros leemos libros!

Fue una batalla bien apretada, Holy Cross vs. especialmente en la segunda vuelta durante la batalla de los libros que tuvo Holy Cross en la ArquidiocesisI el martes. Logrando asi el triunfo de Holy Cross!

El grupo de Holy Cross ¡We Read Books! gano el campeonato del torneo en contra del equipo de Nativity.

Los dos equipos cada uno representando a su escuela participaron en la competencia de la Batalla de los libros la cual se realizo en la Arquidiocesis- Holy Rosary-Wea, St. Ann’s, Nativity y Holy Cross. El equipo estaba compuesto entre 4 a 6 estudiantes. El equipo de la Batalla de los libros da una lista de 30 libros para ser leidos, luego los examina con preguntas detalladas de los libros durante la competencia.
