Endangered Animal Festival

May 12, 2011

from Holy Cross fourth-grade teacher, Susan Gittinger –

Holy Cross fourth graders are learning they can change the world… one project and one student at a time.

Students studied endangered animals and then created projects that were designed to teach (surreptitiously) K – 3 students about the animal, its plight, and how students could help.  Projects included fishing for facts about the Amazon Pink River Dolphin, a polar bear toss, a red deer ‘slam dunk’, and more!

Fun was had by all, and students learned how they could live the Catholic Social Teaching principle of caring for God’s creation.
