
Teacher Wish Lists
Thanks to all those who have contributed to help our teachers buy some essentials for their classrooms that just didn’t make it into the school’s budget.
Items such as the ones the teachers have listed below often get purchased from their own personal funds or sometimes not at all. If you would like to assist in granting any of the remaining ‘wishes,’ please contact Laura Haeusser, Linda Doyle or the school office. Thanks for your generosity!
Wishes Granted:
Fourth-grade teacher Mrs. Gittinger replaced 15-year-old snap circuit sets in her classroom for the students’ use in their science unit studying electricity.
Sixth-grade teacher Mr. Troyer was able to buy 5 dictionaries and Lenten Supplies for the Crucifixtion Cloth Project (masonry nails, sea sponge, dice, toothpick for a lance, wooden crosses,small wooden crown of thorns, purple felt, yarn and glue for the hot glue guns).
Reading Specialist Mrs. Schneider bought six magazine/book holders to organize all her paperback teachers’ books.
Art teacher Mr. Long combined annual PTO money with the donated wish list money to buy a portable projector and several DVDs, including The World of Art Drawing: For Beginners of All Ages, The Face: Jesus in Art, New Vatican City – Art and Glory.
Seventh-grade teacher Mr. Fournier is thinking of purchasing a classroom set of copies of the Christmas Carol with money donated.
Mr. Wagner purchased a small statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe for his 7th-grade classroom with the money donated.
Jr. high teacher Mrs. Patterson was able to get chemicals for science labs, pH strips, pipettes, Zip lock baggies, filter paper and staples such as sugar, salt and baking soda.
Jr. high teacher Mrs. Kropf purchased the Theology of the Body for Middle School program (leader and student workbooks and DVD set), plus Teen Bible Study over Acts of the Apostles which is used in the Confirmation Preparation program.
Librarian Mrs. Anderson received a webcam for use in making library cards and curtains for the new windows.
ELL instructor and ASC coordinator Mrs. Growey purchased a number of items, including timers for reading assessments, Spanish & ESL resource books, folders, binders, dividers, & sheet protectors, books, stickers, posters, games and a jump drive.
