Friday Family Fun Night (F3)

May 14, 2010

Tonight is the special year-end Friday Family Fun Night.

Bring hot dogs, s’mores and everything else you need. Grills, ketchup and mustard, ice tea, water and paper goods will be provided.

After dinner (weather-permitting), there will be old-fashioned outdoor games like hopscotch, marbles, horseshoes, croquet, tether ball and the jungle gym and swings.

Let’s hope the good weather holds!
(if raining, the event is canceled and probably won’t be reschedule)

Friday Family Fun Night (F3)

April 23, 2010

Don’t miss the Mad Food Science Night and Potluck Experiment tonight at the school.

Here’s the challenge: bring a dish that you’ve never made before for the dinner!

After dinner, try your hand at creating new flavors, exploding soda and other fun experiments.

Bring $5 for supplies (per family, not per person.)

Friday Family Fun Night (F3)

April 16, 2010

This week’s Friday Family Fun Night will feature a Family Kickball Game and Potluck Dinner.

Meet at the school at 6 p.m. and bring a dish to share. Ice tea, water and paper goods will be provided.

Make sure to wear your kicking and running shoes for family kickball – rain or shine (and the forecast is for rain, I think.)

If we have fair weather, bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets.  Play will be outside on the field.  If it rains, festivities will be in Pflumm Hall and the gym.

It’s a great way to get the family outside and active on a Friday night.
Plus, it’s a super way to get to know other Holy Cross families!

February 26, 2010

From our F3 organizers, Laura Haeusser, Jenny Kropf and Jennifer Lindsey:

It’s Lent, so let’s begin with Stations of the Cross and Mass at Holy Cross church at 5:30. After Mass, about 6:30, join us in Pflumm Hall for a meatless potluck. Then, test your family skills for game night. We’ll have both family vs. family and one-on-one games, and of course, prizes!

What to bring:
A dinner dish to share
A fun family game
Ideas for future Family Fun Fridays (F3)

We’d love to know if you are coming for planning purposes, so RSVPs would be great, but are not required.

We’d just love to have you!

For more info, contact:

There is always something fun to do at Holy Cross.

Mark your calendars for next Friday night, March 5, when we host our very own PTO Fish Fry after Mass.

Thanks for the Input / F3

January 22, 2010

Thanks to all who attended the Holy Cross Parent Information Night on Thursday. There were good comments and questions, and I hope we were able to give you the answers you sought.

I hope as a take-away from the evening, you’ll all get your registration forms in early for 2010-11, so that we can get our class plans determined. We’ll let you know the plans as soon as we have a better idea of our numbers.

Thank you to Mikki Lawrence, our Marketing Director, and Father Mark for helping with the evening’s presentation.

Please e-mail me, call me or stop by my office if you have concerns or questions.

On another note, plan on joining with other school families for our second Holy Cross Friday Family Fun Night tonight. There’s some talk about dropping eggs from great heights – don’t miss the fun!
